I am a user experience designer with over 12 years industry experience. I am passionate about accessibility, front end architecture, performance and user centered design. I work with CSS (including Sass and PostCSS), HTML and JavaScript as well as a sketch pad, some post-it notes and my favourite pens.

After completing a three year fine art course in 2004 I went on to gain a degree in product design and development from the University of Salford in 2007. I have since worked across a range of disciplines in the digital industry including, Interaction Design, Service Design, UX Design, User Research and Front End Development.

I am currently employed by Defra as a senior Interaction and Service Designer, I work with research insights and data to design end to end services that are engaging, accessible and easy to navigate. I work across the full project lifecycle, from research, discovery and ideation through to iterative design and testing.

Alongside project work I am also an active menber of the design comunity of practice as well as GDS trained service assesor. I recently became a member of the first design system working group, helping to maintain standards whilst promoting inclusivity.

Over the years I have been fortunate enough to work on a number of exciting digital projects for well-known companies and agencies including…
