Over the years I have had the pleasure of working for some awesome companies on a range of projects. below are a few highlights...
I am currently employed as a senior interaction & service designer for DEFRA working as part of the digital team.
I am responsible for:
I design services that are engaging, accessible and easy to navigate for a range of government services including the 'I want to fish' service and a UK wide waste tracing service.
During my time at Barclays I was a part of an interdisciplinary team of designers including Interaction, User Interface, User Experience and Service, working collaboratively alongside Developers and Product Owners to create and deliver live releases as part of the Barclays API store team.
I was responsible for creating innovative user experiences as well as developing user journeys and profiles. I was also responsible for producing performant and accessible solutions to tight deadlines.
The Hut Group is the UK’s leading multi-website retailer, with over 28 websites covering fashion, beauty, health and lifestyle. As part of the UX team I was responsible for delivering best in class eCommerce experiences across a portfolio of sites and services.
I worked within a team of User Interface and User Experience Designers as well as Front End Developers and Data Scientists. Projects ranged from full site builds, too creating new features and performance enhancements.
I joined AO.com as part of the team responsible for launching the TV and Digital products section of the website. I developed key pages for the AV launch and began work on a responsive framework to be used across the site.
Part of my role was also to create best practice guidelines for the front end team, reviewing the Sass, CSS and HTML as well as the sites accessibility.
Whilst at 20:20 I was able to work on projects for companies including Sainsbury’s, EE and O2. My work included feature development on existing sites as well as producing design concepts, wireframes, build estimates, and standards documents.
During my time at at 20:20 I was the lead designer on the EE accessories online store working closely with the brand team.
As a web team leader, I was responsible for 3 junior developers and designers, as well as running my own projects. The position required me to adapt quickly, learning to work with Magento and Wordpress websites as well as managing multiple customers, mentoring my team members and delivering training sessions.
On a weekly basis I was responsible for planning out the teams work schedules, holding customer meetings, liaising with the business development manager’s, producing prototypes and development work. I was also responsible for ensuring the team hit or exceeded monthly financial targets.
